Does that need to be altered in some way? My main problem is that unlike Computer Guru I really don't know how this stuff works. I'll be checking back to see if anyone comes up with a fix for this. Jun 20, We're working on it. I'm keen to find a resolution to this problem too. Any help would be appreciated. I did try creating the preboot.

Regards Andy. S - The mac installation is on a seperate drive and boots fine if I change the boot order in bios or select to boot from that drive at power on. Jun 26, Hi, We don't get much cooperation rfrom the Mac OSx86 community. There's only so much we can do with what we're given. I don't know if this will work for you, but it's worth a shot.
I just installed a hackintosh myself. Using a program called multibeast from http: I used iBoot instead of empireefi, but I don't think that should matter. It worked for me, anyway. I hope this is what you were trying to accomplish and that it works out for you. Well I managed to make a little progress but not much.
When rebuilding the iso I found that setting it to bootable and using cdboot as a boot image made the grub problem go away. Unfortunately I still can't boot successfully. When i select osx from the bootloader it does start to load however it doesn't appear to pick up any of my kexts and so eventually kernel panics.
Dual Booting Mac OS X Yosemite on Windows 10
I am on to the Windows installation now did have a few problems along the way though, the unmount command as above didn't seem to work for me, I used disk utility instead.
Got a few 'no file or directory' messages on the USB step as well but this was simply because of miss typing the command lines watch out for the spaces after cd on first line and gptsync on second. The gptsync command did not complete on first attempt returning an error message, it worked second time when I unmounted both partitions prior to the terminal commands.
Windows nearly done now Will report back when I know if it has succeeded Once again thanks TipsOtto brilliant tutorials. Rich Thanks Rich for your feedback. I appreciate it. I'm glad you figured it out. Yes, your required to unmount all partitions that might have auto-mounted.
